What we do

To contribute to the improvement of its members in techniques and expertise of Sogetsu ikebana, Activities of Sogetsu Branche Suisse concentrate on workshops led by experienced instructors. - To the extent possible, at least one workshop per year is under the guidance of a Master Instructor from Japan.
To further encourage and support members in their artistic development, the programme is supplemented by cultural excursions and lectures on related arts within the Japanese culture.
To contribute to the advancement of ikebana and to enhance local cultural activities, Sogetsu Branche Suisse on occasion holds ikebana demonstrations and exhibitions open to the public [ see Gallery ].
In addition to the activities on the programme of Sogetsu Branche Suisse, several branch members regularly organize workshops for their students and occasionally hold public demonstrations and exhibitions [ see Events ].
Furthermore, senior teachers invite to seminars for advanced Sogetsu teachers on a regular basis.

Please note that Sogetsu Branche Suisse itself does not provide ikebana lessons.
For information on where to take Sogetsu ikebana lessons, please refer to Teachers.
